River has been at the farm for almost 2 years. His owner is going back to Mexico and asked us to sell him. River fell about three weeks ago, running in the front pasture in the mud, and now he’s off. We are not selling him as sound. NOW that that’s all out of the way, he is the sweetest, kindest, gentlest boy. He did parades and trail rides and everything his owner wanted him to. He’s too big for our Pony parties, he’s at least 15 hands. The farrier is coming to see if there’s anything he can do but I am not having a vet out. His owner’s visa is up for the year and as awesome as River is, I have no reason to keep him or invest money in him. I can say with 100% certainty that anyone would love him. Hopefully he comes sound and can be a fantastic trail horse again.
He has been a very easy keeper, and I’ve seen his owner do some really stupid stuff with him, and it doesn’t phase him at all.
