Popeye is a 10yr old 14’2hh grade quarter horse gelding. Popeye is a trail riders dream. He will go anywhere you point his head to include the middle of a pond. Popeye has been ridden extensively on trails all over the blue ridge mountains and the hills of NC. Nothing is too much for this guy to handle! He has climbed down the mountain when the trail was lost and ridden with wagon trains for more miles than I care to count. Popeye is very brave and does not get bothered by anything you might come across on your adventures! He is extremely pleasant to be around on the ground, stands tied, stands for the vet and farrier, and is just an all around barn favorite. He has one “Opal” eye but don’t tell him he can’t see out of it because he doesn’t know so if you don’t mind it doesn’t matter! If you are looking for a camping/trail partner that will take care of you every time he is your man. He can sit for months and saddle up and go no problem! Rides out alone or in company and trailers great. Included is a link to a short video of him out over this past summer and fall.
