“Henry” is a 4 year old 14.3 hand Quarter cross gelding. Henry has the brains, athleticism and versatility to go in any direction! He is well broke to ride, he has a very nice, well balanced walk, trot and canter in the arena. He has a naturally low headset and is soft in the bridle. He will collect up and lope a pretty circle, he knows his leads and will even take a jump! Outside of the ring, Henry has been used to check fences and gather cattle. He is also a seasoned trail horse and will go in any direction you point to! He is surefooted in all kinds of terrain, he will cross water, bridges, deadfall, railroad tracks, etc! He is traffic safe and unbothered by all of the commotion downtown. Henry has ridden to the local bar and very patiently stood tied to the hitching post while we went in and for a bite to eat and drinks! He is brave, willing and honest and loves to see new places - he even went into the feed store last year to get pictures with Santa!At home, Henry is easy to get along with! He lives in a mixed herd, he’s easy to catch in a field and also stalls really well. He is good for all the normal barn tasks - stands to be clipped, bathed, groomed, tacked, blanketed, etc! He is well mannered for the vet, farrier and dentist. He just had his teeth floated, he’s UTD on deworming and wears front shoes. He has big, strong, hardy feet and could easily transition back to barefoot! He’s great to travel with, loads and unloads with no issues. Henry is a very easy keeper on a simple forage based diet. No maintenance or supplements required. He is 100% sound, sane and healthy with no vices or bad habits. Henry may be just a plain bay gelding, but he is truly a special horse that is worth his weight in gold!
